SPORTSGPT — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 05-07-2026
SportsGPT ("we," "this site") is a free chat tool for asking about sports scores, standings, schedules, and stats. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it.
What we collect
We don't require an account, and we don't collect names, emails, or passwords.
- Your chat messages are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. See "Third-party services" below for how Google handles that data.
- Your chat history is stored only in your own browser's local storage, on your device. We don't have a server database of conversations, and we can't see your chat history ourselves.
- Basic technical data (like your IP address) may be briefly visible to our hosting provider (Cloudflare) as part of normal web traffic, and may be used for short-term rate limiting to prevent abuse. We don't log or store this beyond what's needed for that.
Third-party services we use
- Google Gemini API — processes your messages to generate replies, and may use its own web search to find current sports data. Free-tier usage may be reviewed by Google to improve their models. See Google's Gemini API terms for details on how they handle this data.
- Cloudflare — hosts our backend and this website.
- Google Fonts — loads the fonts used on this page from Google's servers.
We don't control these third parties' own data practices — please check their policies directly if you want details on how they handle data on their end.
Cookies
We don't use tracking cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your chat history, saved locally via your browser's storage — this never leaves your device unless you send a message (which only sends that message's text, not your whole stored history file, to Google's API for a response).
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
